Shopping Trip – September 8th

I was so busy yesterday that I didn’t have time to post my latest trip:

Spent: $4.20
Total before coupons: $56.86
Grand total savings, after club card and coupons: $84.13

And I got:

1 package of lasagna noodles
8 Plug-In scented oil holders
3 bottles of shampoo
3 bottles of conditioner
1 box of band aids
1 bottle of sunscreen (I was all out!)

And I got a great surprise:

The catalina machine spat out 8 coupons for $2 off my next order at Safeway!!! That’s $16 that I wasn’t expecting to get! I had no idea that was going to happen, but I’ll definitely try it again. And actually, my total would have only been .20 cents, but one of my coupons didn’t scan – I had 8 $4 off coupons for the plug-ins, and I realized after checking out that only 7 came off. But I think $11.80 profit is still a great deal!!

This came in handy later, as I was cooking two batches of lasagna, and realized that I didn’t have enough cheese left for the second batch. So I used 2 of the ONYOs that I had earned earlier in the day and put it towards a 2 pound bag of Mozzarella. I spent $1.39 on the cheese after coupons – I didn’t try to work in any other deals, because my first batch of lasagna was in the oven at home, so I was in kind of a hurry! (My boyfriend was keeping an eye on it, but still.) I saved 83% on that purchase, and am pennies away from my next fuel discount. Sorry, there’s no picture, because I already used most of the cheese!
