Register Tape Coupons

Money Saving Mom brought my attention to a new printable coupon resource this morning. RTUI, the register tape advertising company responsible for the coupons that print on the back of your receipt, also offer those same coupons on their website. Just click here to visit their website, enter your zip code, and you’ll be able to view all current offers in your area. Not only is this an interesting source for local coupons, but it would also be a good thing to check if you plan on traveling domestically – try punching in the zip code of your destination and see if you can find any good discounts on dining or other services.

Weekend Giveaway: Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies – Ends 09/22

Saturday, September 4th, 2010

Pedia Lax Fiber Gummies

As you probably know, I host a lot of giveaways over at my other blog, Contest Corner. Recently, I was setting up a giveaway for Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies, and they asked if I would also like to give a second bottle away here on Super Coupon Girl. Naturally, I wasn’t going to pass up a chance to give a prize to a loyal SCG reader!

So what are Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies? They are a children’s supplement that taste like regular gummie bears, but contain 2 grams of fiber. If you’d like to learn more, you can check out my review over at Contest Corner or visit their website. I’m holding a separate giveaway on Contest Corner also, so if you’d like to double your odds, feel free to enter that giveaway as well!

Here’s how to enter:

1. For your first entry, just leave a comment on this post! Anything goes – tell me your plans for the weekend, share a high-fiber recipe, or just say hi!

Compatibility Issues in Internet Exporer 7 Fixed

Internet Explorer

Once the move over to WordPress was complete, I got feedback from some readers that were having difficulty viewing the site. After some research, we determined that this issue was only occurring in Internet Explorer 7, due to a bug with how IE7 rendered a property in the site template. We came up with a workaround, so the site should load normally in Internet Explorer 7 now. (There are still some issue with the way IE7 loads Contest Corner, which we are working on a solution for.)

If you have any feedback on the site – or encounter any errors – please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Shopping Highlights: 500 Trash Bags & 20 Lbs. of Printer Paper for $12.94

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Here’s a recap of my most recent purchases:

Paper and trash bags

I got a great online deal on printer paper and trash bags through Shoplet. Last year, Shoplet had a promotion where bloggers who added their button would receive a gift card. I added their badge and received a $40 voucher, which I had been saving until a good use came up for it. We had just run out of printing paper, so I took advantage of a sale on Shoplet for a 20 lb box of paper for $34.99; and since I was down to my last few trash bags from my last trip to Dollar Tree, I used the remainder of my coupon towards a 500 count package of trash bags. After my coupon, the final total for both of these items shipped was $12.94. I’m very pleased, since both of these purchases will keep us stocked up for a long time – the last 20 lb box of printing paper we bought lasted about 2 years, so I’ll be able to print lots and lots of coupons before we need to restock!

Shoplet order

I haven’t been to the grocery store much over the last few weeks. We’ve been working overtime and are just wrapping up some major construction projects, so it’s been pretty hectic around here. August seems to be the busiest month of the year for me!

I’ve made two trips to Safeway recently:

The total for the groceries pictured above came to $55.97. I had to return the eggs because it turned out that they were a part of the recent recall…which I only discovered after we had eaten some of them. Luckily, we didn’t get sick! 😮
