Easter eggs

I want to wish all of my readers a happy Easter/Passover/Spring break weekend! Whatever your plans are, I hope your day is great. I’m going to attempt making hot cross buns in the breadmaker for the first time, and will be spending the afternoon with family. Should be fun!

As we come to the end of both 2009 and the decade, I’d like to take a moment to wish you all a safe, happy New Year’s Eve. I hope this coming year brings much happiness to you and yours. See you in 2010!

Happy Holidays!

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Hi everyone! Things have been quiet around here lately as I’ve been consumed with wrapping up some major work projects and preparing for the holidays. Posts will be sporadic over Christmas but we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming after a brief holiday break. I hope everyone is enjoying the season – best wishes to you and yours!

Happy Day-After-Thanksgiving!

Friday, November 27th, 2009

I hope all my American readers had a great Thanksgiving yesterday! I had a nice time with family – my contribution to the dinner was a yam casserole made from some canned sweet potatoes that I got on clearance at Walgreens last year (I knew they’d come in handy!). Enjoy the holiday weekend, and good luck to anyone braving the Black Friday sales today. I didn’t see anything worth rushing out for, but I will keep an eye out for any amazing online deals between now and “Cyber Monday”.

Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone has a spooktacular Halloween today! If you’re looking for some frightfully frugal and fun Halloween ideas, I recommend this article over at The Dollar Stretcher. However you spend the day, have a ghoulishly good time!

Happy Labor Day!

Monday, September 7th, 2009

I hope my US readers have been enjoying the Labor Day weekend! I’m taking advantage of the holiday today to get ahead on some work projects. However you spend your day, I hope it’s a happy one!

Free Ice Cream After Rebate – This Weekend Only

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

Yum! Blue Bunny Ice Cream is offering a free rebate on select products this weekend. If you purchase Blue Bunny Sedona or Aspen Frozen Yogurt Granola Novelty between 5/23 and 5/25, you can claim a full rebate – click here for the form and further details. Ice cream for the cost of a stamp? Not too shabby!

Thanks to Common Sense With Money for the link. She has a list of other Memorial Day sales, coupons and discounts here, so you might want to check that out too.
I hope my US readers are enjoying the holiday weekend! Do you have any special plans? I’ve still got the flu, so I’m trying to take it easy. I haven’t had much to report in terms of coupons and sales – I haven’t had much of an appetite or felt like cooking, so I’m looking forward to doing a proper shopping trip once I feel a little more lively!

Happy Easter!

Friday, April 10th, 2009

I hope that all my readers have a nice holiday weekend! Does anyone have any special Easter/Passover/Spring break plans? I’m going to bake a few pies for an Easter party on Sunday. I still have a bunch of pumpkin puree in the freezer from October, so pumpkin pie it is!

Happy New Year!

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

I hope that everyone has a fun and safe time celebrating New Year’s Eve tonight! I am excited about 2009, which will be my first full year using coupons. Here’s to a New Year filled with savings!
